Africa: South African Tourism Board Appoints Themba Khumalo As New Acting CEO

Themba Khumalo has been appointed as the new Acting Chief Executive officer for South African Tourism.

According to voyagesafriq.com, the Board of South African Tourism (SAT) appointed Khumalo who used to be the organization’s Chief Marketing officer following the resignation of Ms. Sthembiso Dlamini who officially ceased to head the organization on 30th November 2021 after she had communicated her desire to leave the post and the organization.

In an internal memo to staff on his appointment, the interim board chair solicited support for Mr. Khumalo in his new role.
Mr. Khumalo’s appointment takes effect as of December 1 until further notice.
