Preparations are in place as Abuja is set to host the 6th edition of the CMD Food Tour taking place on Saturday, November 23, 2024, at Central Park.
CMD Food Tour is an international foods and beverages exhibition and free sampling, open to the public. Botswana, Cameroon, Cote d’Ivoire, Congo D.R., Ghana, Malaysia, Namibia, Philippines, Senegal, and Trinidad and Tobago are among the countries expected to showcase their traditional cuisines at this year’s edition.

The Chief Executive Officer of CMD Tourism and Trade Enterprises, organizers of the Food Tour, Cecile Doumbe, while speaking on this year’s edition, said, “in recent years, food tourism has taken important position in tourism and has become one of the most dynamic segment of culture. Destinations and tourism companies understand the importance of gastronomy in order diversify tourism and stimulate local, regional and national economic development. We understand this, that is why we are annually organizing this unique tourism cum business event for people from diverse countries to experience the food culture of other countries.”
