On Wednesday, 1st July 2026, the internationally recognised philanthropist and travel influencer, Queen Bethia Idoko, paid a courtesy visit to the Special Adviser to the Lagos State Governor on Tourism, Arts and Culture, Mr. Idris Aregbe, in his Alausa office, to strengthen collaboration and formally present her recent national honours to him.
The engagement focused on projecting Nigeria’s creative and tourism economy through culture, youth engagement, and global advocacy.
During the visit, Queen Bethia presented her Ambassadorial Plaque from the National Council for Arts and Culture (NCAC), alongside her citation as one of the Top 100 Tourism Personalities in Nigeria.
The Special Adviser commended Queen Bethia for her consistency in giving back and for using her influence to project a positive image of Nigeria globally.

He received the awards on record and expressed the office’s interest in exploring joint initiatives with Queen Bethia in the months ahead.
Speaking during the visit, Queen Bethia described the recognition as a call to do more for Nigeria’s creative and tourism sector.
“Tourism is about people, culture, and impact,” she said. “For me, it is not just about destinations. It is about telling Nigeria’s story through our heritage, fashion, food, and creative talent.”
She pledged stronger collaboration with the State’s tourism and arts agenda, noting that the Foundation will deepen partnerships around cultural tourism, youth engagement, and creative industry visibility as Nigeria seeks to grow domestic and international tourism.
