Triplisters

The Chief Executive Officer, Triplisters, Aminat Akanbi, has been named as one of the Africa Travel 100 under 40 award winners by the organisers of Akwaaba Travel Market, West Africa’s largest travel expo and Atqnews.com.

I grew up in Nigeria. Being in love with travel is what has formed my career path in this industry. I joined the travel industry 7 years ago as a travel writer in Travelstart. I wrote over 100 interesting inspiring travel articles about destinations around the world. Two years later, we won an award as The Best travel blog in Nigeria.

From writing about travel from the comfort of my desk to traveling around the world, I was able to broaden my scope and discover new way to share my travel ideas.

This birthed my company TRIPLISTERS – a travel and tour company that focuses more on youth travel and adventurous experience in Africa and around the world.

In 2019, I was selected as a member of the 100 TOP tourism club members and 100 Travel Women in Africa which was the great turning point in my career in this industry.

Also, I was awarded Travel Planning Service of the Year – Africa with Africa Prestige Award in UK. Currently, I have been able to extend my travel business beyond the shores of African Market by gaining partnership with companies in Europe and Asia.

I have been invited for several events to share my knowledge concerning youth travel. My educational background includes a Bachelor’s of Science in Political science from Lagos State University.

I also have certification as a listener in International Conference on Tourism Management and Hospitality in Denmark.

Also, I have earned certification of recognition award with the WCI forum organization in Ankara through my contribution between the African and Turkey Market.

I believe that travel can make you discover the better version of yourself. For more detailed bio: you can always visit Aminat Akanbi on LinkedIn to read some of her professional experience.
