Africa: Zambia Tourism Agency Aims Over 2.2M International Visitors in 2025 with Strategic Marketing and Air Connectivity Expansion

The Zambia Tourism Agency (ZTA) projects a strong year for the country’s travel industry, expecting to welcome over 2.2 million international tourists and marking a significant boost in tourism growth.

According to travelandtourworld.com, Global projections for international arrivals indicate an increase of 8–9% this year, according to ZTA’s leadership.

Last year, Zambia hosted 2 million international visitors, a milestone attributed to the agency’s strategic partnership with an international public relations firm, among other initiatives.

This marketing outreach successfully introduced Zambia to an audience of 1.5 billion people worldwide, significantly boosting its visibility as a travel destination.

The Zambia Airports Corporation has been encouraged to focus on attracting more airlines to the region. Expanding air connectivity is seen as a vital step to further elevate the tourism sector and potentially double its contribution to the national GDP.
