Jambojet

Kenya-based Jambojet, has taken a major digital leap forward by joining Freightos’ WebCargo platform. This strategic move aims to significantly strengthen digital air cargo connectivity across East Africa.

The airline announced the integration in Nairobi on November 24, 2025, confirming that its entire cargo capacity is now available online in real-time, allowing freight forwarders to seamlessly book and manage shipments instantly.

According to Logistics Update Africa, the partnership gives forwarders instant digital access to Jambojet’s network across nine key routes, including Nairobi, Mombasa, Kisumu, Eldoret, Malindi, Diani, Lamu and Zanzibar. With Jambojet Cargo now live on WebCargo by Freightos, users can compare live rates, make direct bookings and manage their cargo digitally. The airline said this shift improves visibility, reduces manual coordination and ensures faster and more reliable service across the region. Jambojet also plans to make its capacity available for future interlining agreements on the platform.

Karanja Ndegwa, MD and CEO of Jambojet, said digitalisation is reshaping air cargo across Africa and the airline is proud to lead this change by offering a modern and easy-to-use booking experience. He said joining WebCargo by Freightos gives freight forwarders smoother and faster access to the network and supports East Africa’s growing trade and connectivity. He added that the airline looks forward to strengthening links between African markets and global trade in the coming years. Freightos CEO Zvi Schreiber said partnering with Jambojet Cargo expands WebCargo’s reach in one of Africa’s most dynamic logistics markets.

He said bringing more regional carriers online supports Freightos’ mission to make global trade smoother and more efficient by giving forwarders and shippers the capacity they need, when and where they need it. Jambojet Cargo, launched in 2022, carries a wide range of goods such as fresh produce, live animals, pharmaceuticals and general cargo, and also provides repatriation services. The airline handles more than 1,000 tonnes of cargo monthly across its network and operates an 8-tonne aircraft in its fleet.
