In preparation for the launch of the Gateway International Agro-Cargo Airport, Ogun State Governor Prince Dapo Abiodun has appointed three prominent consultants to oversee the state’s aviation sector.
Capt Dapo Olumide, Engr Adeyileka, and Odunowo have been entrusted with managing the development and operations of the new airport, reflecting the administration’s commitment to enhancing the region’s aviation infrastructure.
According to africanbusinesstravel.com.ng, the announcement was made on Tuesday in a statement signed by the Secretary to Ogun State Government, SSG, Mr. Tokunbo Talabi.
According to the statement, the experts appointed to take responsibility for specific areas in the fast developing aviation sector in the State are: Former Managing Director/ CEO, Nigeria Air, Capt Dapo Olumide – Consultant on Airport Management; Former Acting Director General of Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) and a Director at Air Peace, Engr. Benedict Adeyileka – Consultant on Regulatory Matters (Aviation) and Immediate Past Managing Director/ CEO, Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA), Engr Mohammed Odunowo – Consultant on Aviation.
According to Talabi, “the appointments by His Excellency were based on the relevant and cognitive expertise and experience of the appointees in national and international aviation sector.”
