African largest carrier, Ethiopian Airlines will be resuming flights to Windhoek, Kuwait and New York (John F. Kennedy) with more flights to halted destinations, depending on government policies and travel measures of the respective countries.

According to logupdateafrica.com, Ethiopian Airlines group CEO, Tewolde Gebre Mariam, in a statement released by the airline noted: “Ethiopian is proud to be there when the world needed it most – repatriating citizens, re-uniting families, facilitating essential travel and transporting much needed medical and personal protective equipment (PPE) for health professionals and the general public under very difficult and challenging circumstances.

We are proud to be an integral part of the fight against Covid-19. Now we want to play a leading role in the new-normal. To a very large extent, it’s about getting back the confidence of business and leisure travellers. With the protective measures we are taking in line with CDC, IATA, ICAO and WHO guidelines, customers and staff can rest assured that their safety and health are well looked after when flying with us.”

Recently, the carrier has welcomed the final flight in the China – Norway medical air bridge with special invited guests.
A total of 10,000 cubic metres medical protection wear has been flown to Avinor Oslo Airport with medical task force of key Norwegian air cargo specialists, working directly on behalf of the Norwegian government.

Ethiopian Airlines has been contributing its share in keeping the world connected by transporting passengers and cargo during this crisis.
