Aviation: Best passenger rights compliance NCAA Honours Aero Contractors, Ibom Air, and Ethiopian Airlines Officials

The Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has honoured three airline officials for their outstanding dedication to protecting passenger rights and ensuring strict compliance with aviation regulations.

According to newsbulletinng, Director of Public Affairs and Consumer Protection, NCAA, Michael Achimugu, on his Twitter handle, praised the officials for their consistent collaboration with the authority in implementing the provisions of Part 19 of the NCAA Regulations, which deals with consumer protection.

The officials recognised are Ego Ukatu of Aero Contractors, Amaka Echetabu of Ibom Air, and Firiehiwot Mekonnen of Ethiopian Airlines.

Achimugu described the trio as among the most reliable and consistent airline representatives in the NCAA’s engagements on consumer protection matters, noting that their responsiveness and dedication have significantly contributed to resolving passenger complaints and ensuring regulatory compliance.

According to him, the officials have distinguished themselves through their prompt attention to escalated cases from the civil aviation regulator and their unwavering commitment to protecting the rights of air travellers.

“I spare no words in celebrating their efforts so far. You are not unseen or unheard. Your level of compliance, as well as the speed with which you attend to escalations from the CAA, is well documented,” Achimugu stated.

The commendation stresses the NCAA’s continued emphasis on strengthening consumer protection within Nigeria’s aviation sector through collaboration with airlines and industry stakeholders.
