Dakar Blaise Diagne International Airport, Senegal has been recognized by Airport Council International as the best airport by size and region under Two Million Passenger Per Year category for Africa and has won the award for the Most Enjoyable Airport.
This award recognizes airports with the top 20% overall satisfaction score by size and region at departure and the top 5% of airports for their offerings (restaurants, shops, entertainment) and efforts to make the waiting time enjoyable and comfortable respectfully.

Blaise Diagne International Airport is an international airport near the town of Diass in Thiès Region, Senegal, 43 kilometres east of downtown Dakar.
It serves as the main airport for Dakar, replacing Léopold Sédar Senghor International Airport, which had become too small.
It is named after Blaise Diagne, the first black African elected to France’s parliament in 1914. Regular flights are operated to destinations across many parts of Africa, as well as to Europe, Macaronesia, the Middle East, and the USA.
