Ethiopian Airlines is set to expand its reach significantly in 2024, offering flights to 84 African destinations from its Addis Ababa hub. Excluding domestic airports, the Star Alliance member will operate across 62 international destinations throughout Africa, showcasing its extensive network and commitment to connecting the continent.
According to simpleflying.com, It has already started flying to three new destinations in 2024: Freetown (Sierra Leone; May), Maun (Botswana; June), and Nekemet (Ethiopia; June).

Next is Port Sudan (guess the country), which begins in October, followed by Monrovia (Liberia) in November. Monrovia will become Ethopian’s longest non-stop intra-African service.
The obvious question is: where next? Personally, I think Durban seems a logical option. Ethiopian flew there until 2017, but questions existed over its distance and how it fitted into the carrier’s waves of flights—utterly vital for connectivity.
