North African carrier, Royal Air Maroc is set to increase flight frequency to some of its 22 international Africa network from its Casablanca hub across 21 countries this week.
Almost all flights are by B737-800s or B737-700s, although 302-seat B787-9s make an appearance to Dakar (on all four services) and Bamako (on one of its seven).
Royal Air Maroc has 82 weekly flights to these 22 destinations, still down by over half over the same week in pre-coronavirus 2020.
However, several destinations see frequency increases in the coming weeks.
While some routes, including Banjul and Nouakchott, are at the same frequency YOY, most have obviously reduced. Indeed, the network carrier’s average frequency has reduced from eight to four.
Many routes have flights down by 60%+. Libreville, Accra, and Praia are especially badly hit, each down by 86% YOY.

Royal Air Maroc’s international African network comprised 28 destinations in this week last year.
Those not operating now are Algiers (returning 11 February); Bissau (28 March); Brazzaville (28 March); Kinshasa (28 March); Luanda; and N’Djamena.
The last two are also due to resume at the start of S21, but they aren’t yet available for booking.
