The National Airline of the Republic of Zambia is set to begin scheduled services to Harare, Zimbabwe, three times a week starting on June 17, 2025.
The flights will operate on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, offering convenient travel options for passengers.
According to zambia-airways, Customers can now book their flights on the newly introduced route as well as the rest of Zambia Airways route network on www.zambia-airways.com or through their preferred Travel Agent.
Speaking on the launch of the new service to Harare, Mr. Thomas Gebreyohannes Woldesenbet, Chief Executive Officer of Zambia Airways, stated: “We are thrilled to add Harare to our growing regional network. This new route is not just about connecting two cities, it is about connecting people, cultures, and economies. Strengthening air connectivity between the two capital cities of Zambia and Zimbabwe is essential for fostering regional cooperation and boosting bilateral trade.”
Mr. Woldesenbet emphasized the strategic importance of the new route, adding:
“This service opens new opportunities for businesses and entrepreneurs in both countries, with an early morning departure from Lusaka and Harare 3 times a week. This frequency facilitates the movement of goods and services and provides easier access for the tourist who is eager to explore the rich cultural and natural attractions that Zambia and Zimbabwe have to offer. We see this as a meaningful contribution to the broader vision of regional integration and economic growth through the promotion of commerce, trade and tourism between the two nations”.
