The 5th edition of the Cape Verde Tourism Fair (Expotur) will be held from 12 to 14 July in Santa Maria, on Sal Island, and titled “Our Country, Our Diversity – Nôs Terra, Nôs Diversidade,” the Cape Verde director-general for Tourism said Monday in Praia.
According to Cape Verdean news agency Inforpress, Emanuel Almeida said that the fair would promote Cape Verde as a tourist and cultural destination on a national and international level, and there were plans for greater foreign participation this year.
The fair, which is promoted by the Cape Verdean Directorate-General for Tourism, in partnership with the Cape Verde International Fair (FIC), also plans to bring together sector operators, particularly travel agents, the public sector, the media, cultural and sports agents.
The fair is also intended to promote the country’s tourism brand, increase perception of the quality of tourism and to promote the country’s culture, within a framework of sustainable tourism development. (macauhub).
