Africa: Cross River Carnival Commission Chairman, Onah Bags TRASI Award

Chairman, Cross Rivers State Carnival Commission Mr Gabe Onah has been honoured with the Trans Africa Students’ Initiative (TRASI), 2018 Africa’s Distinguished Personality award.

The award ‘Vanguard of Africans Development” which was presented to the Chairman in his office in Calabar by the association was to encourage Individuals and bodies worthy of emulation who have shown exceptional contributions to Africa’s quest for sustainable development in manifold capacities over the years.

The group in a letter to the chairman of the carnival commission signed by its Secretary General, TRASI Africa, Mohammed Ibrahim, said: “Sequel to the aforementioned, TRASI Africa has observed with keen interest, your exceptional contributions to Nigeria’s Quest for sustainable development via your seasoned contributions to Tourism Advancement/National Development on all fronts.

We are cognizant of your dedication to public service delivery, your contributions to promoting cultural exchange, your strides in sustaining heritage, your impact in prompting economic development, your administrative prudence, leadership acumen, ingenuity, expertise and experience channelled into effectively directing affairs in your countries art and cultural sector amongst other incessant traits which are in accordance to the Pan- African ideology as it pertains to promoting National Peace and International harmony.

“Your uncommon efforts are worthy of applauding, thereof drawing the attention of African Students in a lieu to showcasing and epitomizing your lifestyle and achievements.

It is in relation to the aforementioned the leadership of TRASI at her last plenary session resolved to identifying with your esteemed personality by way of showcasing and honouring you with her most prestigious Africa Distinguished Personality Honour as “VANGUARD OF AFRICANS DEVELOPMENT”.
