East and Central Africa’s biggest media group, Nation Media Group, has partnered with Miss Africa Queen pageant to further spread it reach in the continent.
The Miss Africa Beauty Pageant in Calabar, is an annual event organised by the Cross River State Government as one of the programmes at the yearly Carnival Calabar festival in Nigeria.
According to crossrivertimes.com.ng, to further expand its reach across Africa, the reigning Miss Africa Queen Irene Ng’endo Mukii and the team paid a visit to the corporate headquarters of Nation Media Group, in Nairobi, Kenya.
Nation Media Group is the biggest media house in Kenya with a broadcast reach that covers TV, radio, print and digital media spanning across 42 county’s in Kenya and also extending coverage to countries in East Africa.
On the instance of the Governor of Cross River State, Prof. Ben Ayade, the Head of Production Miss Africa and Senior Special Assistant on Events and tourism to the governor, Mr Thomas Ikpeme extended his warmest regards and gratitude to the media outfit for accepting to meet with the team.
Mr Thomas Ikpeme highlighted various areas of collaborations between both parties and the benefit of affiliating with the Miss Africa brand which has its reach in over 30 African countries and citing that Miss Africa pageant is just one of the many flagship events that hold in the power week of the Calabar festival that holds all through December and has Africa’s biggest street party, the carnival calabar, the bikers parade, the international band carnival and many other events that the Nation media can also benefit greatly from.
The Head of corporate and regulatory affairs for Nation media group, Clifford Machoka represented by the corporate affairs manager, Kinya Gitonga and Production manager for NTV, Mercelline Maroma were very interested in the project and clearly indicated their eagerness in taking the discussion to a more concrete level.
The Miss Africa brand which is pan African will be very instrumental in driving the message for Africa to unite and citing that the Nation media group with the right affiliations has the capacity to drive this message across Africa.
Both teams are very optimistic that this partnership will be very profitable and create a lasting impact that will begin from East Africa to other parts of the globe as the Nation media group will be seeking to have exclusive rights of Miss Africa content at the all East Africa casting taking place on September 27th in Nairobi. It is also important to note that the East Africa casting will bring together all the countries in the region to compete for a place in the grand finale taking place in Calabar on December 27th, 2020. It is already tagged to be the biggest entertainment/Tourism event in the east Africa region.
Both teams are currently working on the proposals to fine tune all the modalities that when concluded will undoubted be the biggest partnership from West to East of Africa.
