A female member of Emirates Airlines is at a hospital in Entebbe after she jumped off her plane at Entebbe Airport in Uganda, yesterday.

The Ugandan Civil Aviation Authority issued a statement saying the lady who they declined to name, was alive and receiving treatment.

This was in response to reports making the rounds on social media reports that she had died.

According to eye witnesses, The Emirates flight – EK 731 from Dubai had just landed at Entebbe and was in the process of preparing to load other passengers headed for the return journey to Dubai (EK730) when the incident happened.

An eyewitness said: “She landed badly, her legs looked to have suffered fractures and she had glass bruising on her face. Her body was also cut with broken glass from a bottle she jumped with.”

The incident severely affected the proceeding flight to Dubai and flight EK 730 departed Entebbe and landed in Dubai ONE HOUR and NINE minutes after it was scheduled to land.
