Africa: Ethiopian Airlines flight ET302 crashes

Ethiopian Airlines, Africa’s largest carrier has announced the crash of one of its B-737-800MAX aircraft with all passengers on board.

The aircraft, ET302, a scheduled flight from Addis Ababa was on route to Nairobi when it crashed on March 10.

The airline in a statement said the Group CEO who was at the scene of the accident confirmed the that there was no survivor. The flight is believed to have 149 passengers and 8 crew members on board.

He expresses his profound sympathy and condolences to the families and loved ones of passengers and crew who lost their lives in this tragic accident. Ethiopian Airlines will release further information as soon as it is available. Updated information will also be on Ethiopian Airlines website at www.ethiopianairlines.com
