Herbs have been used since ancient times for maintaining good health and vitality.
Our ancestors used them in many ways.
The invigorating benefit of herbs are legendary in Africa. Our ancestors learnt to live as one with nature. They “talked” to the plants and the plants whispered back their secrets.
However, remember that not all herbs are safe, some herbs may be poisonous.
In view of the herbal values bequeathed to us by nature, I asked myself:
*What can I do to improve on what our forefathers were doing?
*How can I use scientific method to ensure standardization of a herbal drink?
Obviously excited over the result of scientific advancement of herbal values motivated my
decision to contact a group of scientists at the Centre for Scientific Research into Plant Medicine(CSRPM),a World Health Organization affiliate based at Akuapem Mampong.
I shared my vision with them and they agreed to collaborate with me on the establishment of a scientifically researched plant extracts for the formulation of alcoholic and non- alcoholic drinks.

CSRPM’s Response;
A group of research scientist including, Botanists/Taxonomists, Pharmaco-toxicologist,
Phytochemists and Microbiologist, were engaged to come out with herbal extract with the
above mentioned medicinal benefits.
KASAPREKO ALOMO BITTERS was born out of this research.
