Ghanaian President Nana Akufo-Addo has temporarily suspended foreign travel for public officials as part of measures to prevent the outbreak of the coronavirus in the country.
According to a statement signed by the Chief of Staff, of the government, HON. Akosua Frema Ose-Opare, only critical travels will be considered during this period.
He said the directive together with the other measures being put in place by Government Is intended to protect the general public from contracting the Virus.
The statement reads “AS part of measures to prevent the outbreak of the coronavirus (COVID-19) in Ghana, HIs Excellency the President of the Republic has directed that all foreign travels by public officials/officers should be temporarily suspended. Only critical travels will be considered.
“This directive together with the other measures being put in place by Government Is intended to protect the general public from contracting the Virus.”
