GOTA Voyages, a travel and tour firm in Benin Republic has emerged winner of the African Top 100 Tour Operators award.
Olanma Alvanis Ojukwu is the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of GOTA Voyages (Gods Own Travel Agency).
A Tourism Consultant by profession.
She has been able to impact so much in terms of travel and tourism service delivery to clients based on her series of trainings at American Airlines flagship university, Dallas, Texas, while representing her in Benin, from 2004 to 2009 when GOTA was born.
GOTA voyage has her head office in Benin with a branch in Togo and is presently opening her Nigerian branch.
Before then, after her tertiary institution, she trained as an Air hostess at Aviation school Zaria in 1993, flew with Harka Air services, and other airlines in Nigeria, and came to Benin in 1999. She worked as a ticketing and reservation officer with the 1st Benin traveling agency, where she trained on Amadeus GDS untill 2002.
In 2003, she handled the ticketing department of the 1st Benin airline, until end of 2004 when she joined American Airlines.
She has worn many tourism and social life awards. The most recents. In October 2016, Gota voyage was one of the Akwaaba awardees of Top best travel companies in West Africa. On the 26th of May 2017, she won Ghana west African travel fair Weizo award, as one of the Top 100 tourism personalities in West Africa . Again on the 12th of September 2017, she was among the 100 women in tourism that received the best women in tourism award at Eco hotel, Lagos, Nigeria.
Just last December 2017, she received Change Agent Africa Award of Excellence on her leadership and support for youths in Benin. At the moment, she innovated the Discover Benin products she sells at her international trade fairs as her inbound package.
The agency has four major yearly outbound packages she is known with, namely:
1. GOTA paques en Israel(Gota ester in Istrael.) every Easter. At our 6th edition.
2. GOTA Eductour/Leisure tour to 5 cities in the USA, every August
3. GOTA business tour to Turkey, every summer.
4. GOTA leisure and Safari tour to Kenya and Dubai, all year round.
She has packaged and continue to package for Embassies and international institutions.
