Despite being knocked out of the ongoing World Cup in Brazil, the Ghanaian football team may have something to look forward to after all. According to the Guardian, an award-winning US writer is planning a Hollywood thriller that focuses on Ghana’s World Cup cash drama.
The Guardian reports that the screenplay, written by Darryl Wharton-Rigby, has already been optioned by US production company Bugeater. The movie will centre around the courier carrying the $3m meant for the Ghana team and his effort to recover the money he lost after he was ambushed.
