The Ministry of Sports and Tourism of the Republic of Benin has endorsed the newly inaugurated Tour Operators of Benin (TOB), Association.
Minister of Sport and Tourism, Benin, His Excellency, Homeky Ostwald who spoke at the inauguration of the association said the country has long waited for a specific association that would project the rich tourism potentials of the West African country to the world.
Speaking on behalf of the minister, Mr Adjovi, Director of tourism, said the ministry will closely work with the association to better project the tourism potentials of the republic of Benin.
He said the body should not be distracted in championing the course of tourism in the country.
He stated that the association have the total support of the ministry adding that should they need any assistance they will be ready to assist the body.
Vice President in charge of International Public Relations and Digital Tourism, Madam Olanma OJUKWU,CEO, Gota Voyages read on behalf of the association congratulatory messages sent by the Organiser of Akwaaba, African Travel Market, Mr. Ikechi Uko and the President Women in Tourism, Ghana, Nancy Sam.
Five members of the association were elected to man its affairs and ensure the smooth running of the body.
The five members elected include: Madam Christiane Tossou, CEO Cristal Tours, President, Madam Olanma OJUKWU, CEO, Gota Voyages, Vice President in charge of International Relations and Digital Tourism, Madame Huguette Akplogan, CEO Emeraude Tours, General secretary, Madame Anna Ayi, CEO Jessica travels, Treasury and Madame Nadine Lorento, Tourism Manager AAT, In charge of organisation.
