STARWOOD Hotels and Resorts Worldwide have announced the appointment of Mr. Barry Curran to the position of Area Manager Nigeria and General Manager for the Sheraton Lagos Hotel in Lagos, Nigeria.
In his position, he will report to Mr. Hassan Ahdab, Vice President, Regional Director- Africa & Indian Ocean.
Prior to this appointment, Barry was Area Manager Cairo Hotels based at Le Méridien Pyramids Hotel & Spa in Egypt, a position he had held since 2012.
Barry who is Irish by birth with education from Shannon College of Hotel Management and Cornell University took on his first role with Starwood Hotels & Resorts in 2005 as General Manager at Le Méridien Pyramids Hotel & Spa.
Barry has over 25 years of experience in the hospitality industry and has filled various management positions in Ireland, the United Kingdom, Guyana and Egypt.
