News: Addis Ababa Tourism Chief and ICCA Africa Director Hold Talks to Strengthen the City’s MICE and Conference Tourism

The Commissioner of the Addis Ababa Tourism Commission, Hunde Kebede, held discussions with Frank Murangua, the International Congress and Convention Association’s Director General for Africa

Commissioner of Addis Ababa Tourism Commission Hunde Kebede had a fruitful discussion with Frank Murangua, Director General of Africa at International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA).

The discussion will have a great role in increasing the conference tourism center that our city has started and making it available to the world.

The commissioner has explained that the tourism infrastructure built by the city administration has made the city a preferred conference center.

The Director General discussed important issues that will enable us to work together in the future and expressed that he is happy about the development of the city and becoming the center of the world conference.

Addis Ababa Tourism Commission Commissioner, Hunde Kebede, held a productive discussion with Mr. Frank Murangwa, Regional Director for Africa at the International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA)

During the meeting, Mr. Hunde Kebede briefed Mr. Murangwa, The Regional Director, the city’s strong commitment toward developing the MICE sector, highlighting newly opened and expanding convention venues, improved infrastructure, ongoing investments, and Addis Ababa’s growing recognition as an emerging MICE destination in Africa.

Both parties expressed strong interest in forming a strategic partnership to accelerate Addis Ababa’s growth as a preferred hub for international conferences and business tourism.
