Organisers of Akwaaba African Travel Market, the leading Pan-African Travel Expo have lined up foremost tourism guru and Presidential Candidate of the One Seychelles political party, Alain St. Ange as a key speaker and Special Guest of Honor at the 4th African Travel and Tourism Conference, scheduled to take place on September 21, 2020 via an online platform.

St. Ange who once served as the Minister of Tourism for Seychelles is a sought after speaker and expert in tourism development.

He was instrumental in dramatically getting tourism arrival numbers up in Seychelles, an African Island in the Indian Ocean. He is the man behind the world’s first multicultural festival where countries from around the world participated in harmony.

Now he is a candidate for Seychelles’ President with the One Seychelles Party.

This foremost conference is being put on by AKWAABA African Travel Market and hosted by its founder Ikechi Uko, a foremost tourism expert in Africa who has put together many tourism projects for Africa.

Uko is also the organizer of several of the largest festivals and travel expos in Africa.

Uko says that this conference is very important because it is about Africa speaking for Africa in terms of tourism.

Uko explains: “Africa Speaks! Everyone has been trying to speak for Africa, but they have not asked Africa to speak for itself? Now the Heavyweights of African Tourism will be Speaking on Behalf of the Continent.

The Top 3 Countries for Meetings, Incentives, Conventions and Exhibitions ( M.I.C.E) in Africa are South Africa, Rwanda and Kenya. In West Africa, Ghana is the Market Leader according to the International Congress and Conventions Association (ICCA) annual rankings. We have put together the Best Brains on Business Tourism in Africa with practical experience and savoir faire on the job to find a path to growth and profitability.”

The lead keynote speaker for this conference is Rick Taylor of the Business Tourism Company, who has served as head of the South African Tourism Convention Bureau. Many leaders in tourism from African countries and regions will also be presenters.
