Cross River State has taken a major step in its urban renewal drive with the unveiling of what has been described as the tallest light tower constructed by the current administration, marking a new phase in the state’s infrastructure development.
Governor Bassey Otu said he inspected the newly installed tower, describing it as an iconic symbol of progress, safety and pride for residents.
According to the governor, the facility is designed to illuminate the skyline, improve security and support extended economic and social activities after dark. He noted that beyond its visual impact, the project reflects the government’s commitment to modern infrastructure and a safer, more vibrant environment for residents, visitors and businesses. Governor Otu added that the initiative aligns with broader efforts to position Cross River as a welcoming and forward-looking state.
