Emirates has notified its customers that the temporary UAE visa overstay exemption introduced during airport disruptions has officially expired with immediate effect.
In a communication sent to passengers, the airline advised that all travellers must now strictly comply with the validity periods stated on their UAE visas to avoid penalties.
The exemption had previously allowed flexibility for passengers affected by airport closures, but Emirates said normal immigration rules have now fully resumed.
“All passengers must ensure they enter and leave the UAE within the dates specified on their visas,” the airline stated.
The carrier warned that failure to comply could result in overstay fines or potential legal consequences under UAE immigration regulations.
Emirates also urged travel partners and customers to ensure that all passengers are fully informed of the change and adhere to the updated requirements.
The airline added that passengers requiring further clarification should contact its support channels for guidance.
The development signals a return to standard travel protocols in the UAE following earlier disruptions, with authorities emphasizing strict compliance with visa regulations.
