News: FTAN North-Central and Benue State Chapter Congratulates Dr. Shadrach Ukuma on His Appointment as Director-General of Benue Bureau for Arts, Culture and Tourism, Benue State

The Federation of Tourism Associations of Nigeria (FTAN), North-Central region, along with its Benue State chapter, heartily extends its warm congratulations to Dr. Shadrach Teryila Ukuma on his well-deserved appointment as the Director-General of the Bureau for Arts, Culture and Tourism, Benue State.

The appointment of Dr. Ukuma was announced by the Vice President of FTAN, North-Central Region. “This appointment encapsulates your passion, dedication, and immense contributions to the promotion of culture and tourism,” said Seembor Iyoryisa, Vice President of FTAN, North-Central Region.

“We are confident that your leadership will bring renewed energy, innovation, and progress to the tourism sector, not only in Benue state but across the North-Central region and Nigeria at large”. Dr. Ukuma, a seasoned technocrat and academic with extensive experience in the fields of theatre and tourism, has long been a committed advocate for the development of Benue’s creative industries.

His prior role as the pioneer Director of the Kyegh Sha Shwa Cultural Festival and his work in filmmaking and festival management demonstrate a proven track record of elevating Benue’s cultural heritage. “Dr. Ukuma’s deep knowledge and hands-on experience in the arts and culture sector make him an ideal fit for this role,” added Iyoryisa. “We look forward to his leadership in showcasing the rich cultural heritage and immense tourism potential of Benue State and are eager to collaborate on initiatives that will drive sustainable tourism development.”

The Benue State chapter of FTAN reaffirms its commitment to working closely with the new Director-General and the Bureau for Arts, Culture and Tourism to achieve shared goals and create a thriving, inclusive tourism economy for the state.
