News: Nigerian Customs Says Sesame, Ginger, Hibiscus Top N70.2bn Agric Export From Apapa

Customs Area Controller of Apapa Command, Auwal Mohammed, has said Sesame seeds, ginger and hibiscus are top on the export list processed from the nation’s premier seaport, the Apapa Port, valued at about N70.2 billion.

According to dailytrust.com, Mohammed said the exported products had a total tonnage of 110,448 metric tonnes in the first quarter of 2023.

Speaking at his maiden press conference, the Customs Area Controller of Apapa Command, Auwal Mohammed, said the command also intercepted 144 million tablets of tramadol worth N22bn en route to Nigeria from India in March.

He said the service also collected N213bn worth of revenue between January and March, 2023, for the government.
