Time sure works in mysterious ways. The advent of television and film has made it possible to immortalize our favorite stars! The Golden Age of Hollywood might seem like such a long time ago but it has actually only been a couple of decades since then. Yes, many of our favorite celebrities from that era are still around! Let us see what they have been up to in the years since the peak of their careers.

JACLYN SMITH, 73 YEARS OLD
Jaclyn Smith is an American actress and businesswoman, best known for her role on Charlie’s Angels as Kelly Garrett. She has been in a number of Hollywood films and even launched her own clothing and perfume brand in the 80’s. The 73-year-old claims her aging (or lack thereof) is thanks to a healthy diet and daily exercise. Whatever she’s doing is definitely working!

BETTY WHITE, 96 YEARS OLD
Ooh, who doesn’t love Betty White? Apparently, the star launched her career on the radio back in the 40’s. Apparently, the executives did not find her attractive enough to go onscreen in the beginning. What were they thinking?! Anyway, she has since become the female entertainer with the longest-running career! That was quite a long way to go but she did it. It doesn’t look like she will be quitting any time soon either. Nice job, Betty!

KIRK DOUGLAS, 101 YEARS OLD
Kirk Douglas has led a pretty incredible life. Aside from his career in show business, he is the survivor of various life-threatening situations. Let’s see. He was in the Navy during World War II, survived a helicopter crash in 1991, and lived through a stroke when he was 80 years old. The talented actor must have been blessed with nine lives! He remains active in the industry to this date.

HAL HOLBROOK, 93 YEARS OLD
We simply cannot deny that Hal Holbrook is one of the most talented men in Hollywood. Interestingly, he made it big after portraying Mark Twain in a one-man play. He has since received job offer after job offer. If you need proof of his versatility, we will have you know he has done work for the stage, the big screen, and the small screen. Let’s not forget about the awards and accolades he has won and received over the years!

CAROL CHANNING, 97 YEARS OLD
Carol Channing first attracted everyone’s attention with her amazing singing voice. It even earned her roles in musical productions like Hello Dolly!, Thoroughly Modern Millie, and Gentlemen Prefer Blondes. Doesn’t she look amazing even at her advanced age? We bet it is because she takes good care of what she eats. Medical professionals have reported that a great diet is important for your health. It would be wise to follow the advice!

DIAHANN CARROLL, 83 YEARS OLD
Diahann Carroll was the role model of African-American women when she became the first non-white television star. Of course, we are referring to her ground-breaking performance in Julia! The actress was radiant in that role. Aside from that, she even received various nominations and awards over the years. She later battled breast cancer and came out the victor. The actress has since gone into retirement and she was last active in the industry back in 2014. We daresay that her legacy will never be forgotten! Thank you for everything, Diahann.

CICELY TYSON, 94 YEARS OLD
The beautiful Cicely Tyson was actually a model before she became an actress. The African-American woman has starred on both onscreen and stage productions. Perhaps you even remember her performance in the popular film, The Help. Now 94 years old, she remains active in show business. She could pass for years, even decades, younger than her actual age!

SEAN CONNERY, 88 YEARS OLD
We all know that there have been several James Bond actors, though we don’t think anyone can replace Sean Connery in our hearts. After all, who can beat the original? He made his debut on the stage and he remained in the theater for quite some time. His first film credit was actually for Dr. No, which was followed by six other films in the James Bond franchise. He has also appeared in The Untouchables, The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, and Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. He retired at the age of 77.

LEX LUGER, 60 YEARS OLD
Lex “The Total Package” Luger is a professional wrestler who was most popular during the 80’s and the 90’s. He competed in the World Wrestling Federation and World Championship Wrestling in those days. He actually played professional football as well and he was a member of the NFL team, Miami Hurricanes. Unfortunately, the athlete experienced a spinal stroke that led him to retire from playing any sports. However, he is still active in the field as a member of the Wellness Policy team.

RICHARD CHAMBERLAIN, 84 YEARS OLD
Richard Chamberlain got his breakthrough role when he snagged the lead role in the NBC show, Dr. Kildare. He later appeared in The Thorn Birds, King Solomon’s Mines, and The Bourne Identity. He was an openly gay actor who was even in a relationship with a co-star on Allan Quatermain and the Lost City of Gold. In 2003, he published an autobiography titled Shattered Love.

Richard Keith, 67 Years Old
Richard Keith started acting at a very young age. This is a pretty impressive feat by itself! At only three years old, he started playing the drums. Meanwhile, he portrayed Little Ricky in I Love Lucy. He also appeared as Johnny Paul Jason in the program, The Andy Griffith Show.

TONY BENNETT, 92 YEARS OLD
It is already impressive to turn 92 years old so what more when you can still belt out to your songs? Tony Bennett is truly a talented person. He studied at the School of Industrial Arts in New York and continues to perform to this day. He is best known for “I Left My Heart in San Francisco”.

EVA MARIE SAINT, 94 YEARS OLD
Eva Marie Saint has been in the industry for quite some time now! It is even more impressive when you learn that the actress made her debut back in the 40’s. She is best known for her performance in On The Waterfront opposite Marlon Brando. It even earned her the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress in 1955. Her last acting credit dates back to 2014.

JACKIE MASON, 87 YEARS OLD
Jackie Mason is one of our favorite stand-up artists! He has appeared on various Broadway productions and Comedy Central named him the 63rd greatest stand-up comedian of all time. We sure hope he is enjoying his retirement!

JULIE GIBSON, 105 YEARS OLD
Born in Washington, Julie Gibson made a name for herself with her acting and singing skills. She launched her career in the Jimmie Grier Orchestra and then joined Joe Penner’s radio program. She initially appeared in small roles until she made her way up to better parts. She is one of the oldest ‘Golden Age’ stars who are still alive!

NORMAN LLOYD, 104 YEARS OLD
We all love Norman Lloyd, right? Now 104 years old, the actor is one of the oldest figures in the industry. Aside from acting, he has also tried his hand at working as a director and producer. He spent eighty years in the industry and he got to work with Alfred Hitchcock, Orson Welles, and Charlie Chaplin. It’s pretty impressive to hear that he continues to act at his age!

ANN BLYTH, 90 YEARS OLD
The beautiful Ann Blyth has worked on film and theater productions over the years. However, she is probably best known for playing Veda Pierce Forrester in Mildred Pierce. She has since gone into retirement and now spends most of her at home. Did you know that she has her own spot on the Hollywood Walk of Fame?

Max Baer Jr. is an actor, director, producer, and screenwriter who played Jethro Bodine in The Beverly Hillbillies. Can you believe that Sylvester Stallone is now 72 years old? We can’t either. Nonetheless, his good looks and charms are still intact. There is no truth to the numerous death hoaxes that have come out recently and we’re glad to hear it. He recently worked on a new Rambo film and we’re thrilled!

JULIE ANDREWS, 83 YEARS OLD
The lovely actress still looks as beautiful as ever now that she is 83 years old! She has certainly aged gracefully. You likely remember her for her appearance in Mary Poppins and The Sound of Music. Bob Barker is best known as a game show host. He hosted The Price is Right for 35 years, after all. Aside from this, he has also worked on beauty pageants such as Miss USA and Miss Universe. He is now retired but this might be the best course of action for his health.

DEBBIE HARRY, 73 YEARS OLD
The 73-year-old star certainly has a wonderful musical resume. However, let us not forget she has acted and modeled before as well. As the lead vocalist of Blondie, she deserves credit for bringing Call Me, Rapture and Heart of Glass to life. She also appeared in films like Hairspray, Cop Land, and Deuces Wild.

SALLY FIELD, 71 YEARS OLD

In 2006, she released a book called Situations 101: Bern Nadette Stanis.

TIPPI HEDREN, 88 YEARS OLD
There is no way you could have forgotten about Tippi Hedren if you watched the classic Hitchcock film, The Birds. She has also produced some dazzling progenies. She is the mother of Melanie Griffith and the grandmother of Dakota Johnson and Stella Banderas. It has been a while since she retired though she makes small appearances every now and then. She is now more focused on charity work.

LEE MAJORS, 79 YEARS OLD
In the 80’s, Lee Majors was one of the biggest stars. He was made popular by his appearance in The Fall Guy and The Six Million Dollar Man! He used to be in a high-profile relationship with Farrah Fawcett. The two eventually divorced but Majors got in touch when he heard she was dying of cancer. He remains active in Hollywood.

PRISCILLA PRESLEY, 73 YEARS OLD
Priscilla Presley was a teenage girl when she met Elvis Presley. They eventually married, had a daughter, and then divorced in 1973. She started acting after the divorce and launched a couple of businesses. Elvis only left their daughter a million dollars but Priscilla found a way to increase it to $100 million!

LINDSAY WAGNER, 69 YEARS OLD
We doubt anyone will ever forget Lindsay Wagner AKA the “Bionic Woman”. She played Jaime Sommers in Bionic Woman and delivered a great performance. TINA LOUISE, 84 YEARS OLD
Tina Louise is best known as Ginger Grant from Gilligan’s Island. Even when the show finished, she kept acting but generally snagged small parts in TV and film productions. Apparently, she also said no when asked to reprise her Gilligan’s Island role. At the moment, she and Dawn Wells are the only remaining cast members of the show.

KIM NOVAK, 85 YEARS OLD

She retired not long after this to focus on visual art, her other passion. There is no way we could forget Pamela Barnes Ewing! Victoria Principal was shot into stardom when she appeared in Dallas. Armed with a beautiful face and gorgeous figure, she made it big in no time. She started her own skin care product line and released books about beauty, wellness, and fitness.

Billie Jean King
In the now-famous 1973 “Battle of the Sexes,” tennis legend Bobby Riggs was pitted against another legend, Billie Jean King. When she emerged as the winner, King shot to fame as well as amassed a fortune. In 1981, King became the first-ever female athlete to admit publicly that she was gay and in 1987, she divorced Larry King. In addition, she was inducted into the International Tennis Hall of Fame and the famous 1973 tennis match will be made into a movie starring Emma Stone as King.

Ann-Margret is probably best known for the movie adaptation of Bye Bye Birdie, where she played the breakout role of Kim Mcafee. However, she’s still active in the industry. In 2017, she played Annie in the film Going in Style, alongside Morgan Freeman, and in 2018, she portrayed Barbara in Papa. Ann-Margret has also received a Grammy nomination.

Teri Garr
Beloved for playing Igna in Young Frankenstein by Gene Wilder, Teri Garr went on to enjoy a really successful career. A few of the films she starred in are Close Encounters of the Third Kind and Tootsie. In 2002, she revealed that she was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis and in 2007, she retired from acting. She now serves in the National Multiple Sclerosis Society as its National Ambassador and she is also the National Chair for Women Against MS.

She initially started out playing comedic roles, but Paula Prentiss achieved major stardom after she played her memorable role in the thriller The Stepford Wives in 1975. She is most fondly remembered and best known for the characters she portrayed in movies such as The Black Marble and What’s New Pussycat and on the TV show He & She. Her most recent appearance was in the 2016 horror film I am the Pretty Thing That Lives in the House.

Despite the Emmy Award-winning actress being best known for playing Major Margaret on MAS*H, Loretta Swit also penned A Needlepoint Scrapbook back in 1985. Jane Seymour played Solitaire in Live and Let Die and from there, she launched quite a successful career. She acted in a number of his movies, including Annie Hall, Love and Death, Sleeper, and Play it Again Sam. She even won an Academy Award for her performance in Annie Hall. She enjoys a successful career, acting in films like The Family Stone, Father of the Bride, and The First Wives Club, aside from working as an author, real estate developer, photographer, and even the occasional singer.
