UN Tourism has intensified global efforts toward inclusive travel with the launch of a workshop dedicated to improving accessibility across cultural sites, historical landmarks, and protected natural areas.
The initiative aims to ensure that people of all abilities can fully experience and enjoy the world’s heritage and natural wonders.
The workshop brought together experts, policymakers, and tourism sector stakeholders to address barriers that people with disabilities, elderly visitors, and other underserved groups often face when navigating cultural and nature-based attractions.
Discussions also highlighted best practices, new accessibility standards, and innovative approaches for making tourism more welcoming and equitable.
