Regional Aviation Safety

West Africa is making significant strides toward establishing a regional aviation safety agency, with the 6th URSAC Steering Committee meeting held from February 18 to 20, 2025, in Dakar.

According to newsaero.info, the discussions focused on the creation of the Community Agency for the Supervision of Civil Aviation Safety and Security (ACSAC), a major step toward strengthening air safety and security in the region.

This initiative, spearheaded by the West African Economic and Monetary Union (UEMOA), aims to bolster aviation safety and security across its member states.
