Africa: Port Harcourt International Airport Reopened For Operations.

Nigeria’s airport authority as reopened the Port Harcourt International airport for flight operations. The airport was closed following a skidding incident of one of the country’s carriers, Air peace.

The airport authority said the airport runway has been cleared and the airport is now reopened for normal flight operations.

A statement from FAAN, stated that the Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA) has issued a Notice To Airmen (NOTAM) to that effect in line with standards and recommended practice.

Yesterday, An aircraft belonging to Nigeria’s largest carrier, Air Peace skidded off the runway at the Port Harcourt Airport domestic wing.

The flight numbered 5N BRN, was flying from Abuja to Port Harcourt when it skidded off the Port Harcourt International Airport runway at about 1500hours.
