Her Excellency, Queen Ebele Enemchuckwu, the Mrs. Nigeria United Nations ’15-’17 as well as Mrs. Tourism United Nations World ’15 –’17 and the CEO of WABIO International, has been listed in the Top 100 Tourism Personalities in Nigeria for 2018. She is currently a Director in EMBEL Dynamic Limited.
The listing of the Top 100 Tourism Personalities in Nigeria by Travellers Magazine is historic and an effort to cast in gold the faces of the people who are behind the great effort and deep sacrifices in promoting tourism in Nigeria despite the harsh conditions they operate within the tourism landscape in Nigeria. Travellers Magazine is the first travel magazine in West Africa, remaining consistent in its publications for over 22 years.
Top 100 Tourism Personalities in Nigeria list was set up to recognize individuals who have distinguished themselves as foremost and outstanding drivers in the travel and tourism industry in Nigeria; and through their efforts and or that of their organizations have impacted positively on the travel and tourism sector in Nigeria, stimulating and helping to achieve the country’s tourism goals and forging interactions among stakeholders and customers across the country. This is the second edition. In 1999 Travellers Magazine published its first Compilation of the Nigerian Top 100 Tourism Club. Almost two decades later the list needs to be updated.
Her Excellency Queen Ebele Enemchuckwu (Mrs.) is the immediate past Mrs. Nigeria United Nations ’15 – ‘17 and Mrs. Tourism United Nations World ’15 – ‘17. As the Founder of WABIO Foundation, an NGO dedicated to the cause of womanhood, she was honoured as a recipient of the African Virtuous Women Awards on September 1, 2018 for her humble efforts in humanitarianism. Ebele is a Customer Service expert with experience spanning over 12 years in telecommunications. She holds a B.Sc in Microbiology and a Masters in Business Administration. She is a Beauty and Image Consultant backed with experience from the prestigious London Makeup School.
Ebele Enemchukwu won the National title as Mrs. Nigeria United Nations 2015 and proceeded to represent Nigeria on the world stage in Kingston, Jamaica, where she won both the Mrs. Tourism United Nations title, as well as the award for the People’s Choice Ambassador.
For her exceptional performance in the first year, her reign got extended, making her the first Tourism Queen in the Mrs. Category to reign for 2 years on that pageant system. This also earned her the 2016 MOST OUTSTANDING BEAUTY QUEEN OF THE YEAR award at the Transcorp Hilton, Abuja.
Queen Ebele Enemchuckwu has groomed younger Queens, including being a speaker and Prejudge at the 2017 MBGN pageant.
Beyond charity, Ebele is a Tourism Ambassador and Carnival Calabar Influencer who is passionate about the revival and sustenance of the Tourism Industry in Nigeria. For three uninterrupted years, she has worked closely with other like-minded individuals, governments, and Tourism Stakeholders within and outside Nigeria to give Tourism the promotion and positive visibility it deserves, while in many cases, leveraging her Instagram and combined social media audience of over 30,000 and 50,000 followers respectively.
Queen Ebele Enemchuckwu has contributed in many capacities in the promotion of Tourism in Nigeria and Africa. Having served as the Moderator for Akwaaba African Travel Market 2018, one of the top travel fairs in Africa and the biggest in West Africa, she served year after year as the Moderator and Event Host for Accra Weizo, the West Africa Travel fair held yearly in Accra, Ghana from 2016 to 2018.

In 2016, Queen Ebele Enemchuckwu was appointed a Speaker for the Nigerian Association of Your Operators (NATOP) AGM. The same year was a Special Guest to the Lagos State Ministry Of Tourism, Arts and Culture. And during the ONE LAGOS BRAND LAUNCH – 2016, she was a VIP Guest. The same year, she was a Participant and a VIP Guest at the National Association of Nigerian Travel Agencies (NANTA) AGM even as was also the Moderator for OGANIRU: Enugu State Maiden Investment Summit, and a Delegate at National Summit On Culture and Tourism – 2016 and Moderator, ACCRA WEIZO, Ghana – 2016.
Queen Ebele Enemchuckwu has developed into a freelance tourism blogger, whose writing prowess has seen her articles featured and shared on many online and offline platforms, including Atqnews.com, Afritraveller.com and Travellers Magazine. Ebele has no plan of doing any less in promoting tourism within and beyond the shores of Nigeria.
