Mr. Raphael Kuuchi has been appointed as the IATA Vice President for Africa. Prior to his appointment, Raphael was the Director of Commercial, Corporate and Industry Affairs, at the African Airlines Association.
“I look forward to leading IATA in Africa at this important time in the development of the continent’s aviation sector and working with partners across the continent. This includes very close cooperation with AFRAA,” said Kuuchi.
Raphael previously worked with Ghana Airways from 1991-2005 where he was involved in commercial, corporate planning and accounting functions in Accra and Johannesburg. He later joined AFRAA as Director of Commercial and Information Communication Technology, before taking on the role of Director of Commercial, Corporate and Industry Affairs. He succeeds Mr. Mike Higgins in his new role at IATA.
Raphael will start work at IATA from 17 February. AFRAA wishes him the best of luck in his new role.
