South Africa Tourism has marked Dr. Nelson Mandela’s Centenary in Lagos with events lined up to showcase the life and legacy of the former president who spent his life in the fight for the emancipation of his country from the worst apartheid regime in the world.

The event was held in partnership with the South African Consul in Lagos.

Part of the programs lined up for the centenary celebrations will include tree planting at the Dr. Nelson Mandela’s Park in Asaba aside the film shows and other events.

The event was held at Federal Palace hotel Lagos and was impressively attended by diplomatic Corps from Ghana, Mali and Senegal, NIIA and UN representatives.
