A day of merry-making and fashion is what characterized the return of the royal ascot race at Speke Resort Munyonyo on the lakeside shores of Lake Victoria.
The goat race, entailed six races over the course of the day with each race featuring 10 goats.
Revelers’ were treated to a fun filled event with food courts, a beer garden, cocktail and champagne bars as well as sport games. The experience also had a silent disco, chill-out lounges and kids play areas.
“The Goat Races were easily the most popular event on Uganda’s social calendar for all the time they were held, so we had no option but to bring that amazing experience back with fun-filled activities everyone can participate in,” said Sheena Ruparelia, the event coordinator and daughter to business mogul, Sudhir Ruparelia.
The 2018 Royal Ascot Goat Race come back attracted numerous partners like Tusker Malt – a Uganda Breweries Ltd product – as the main sponsor, alongside other partners – Silk Events, Sanyu FM and most notably, Kampala Executive Aviation.
Gagamel Boss Moses Ssali aka Bebe Cool, Fik Fameika, entertained the crowd prior to a colorful fireworks display that crowned the night.
