Uganda Airlines takes off its inaugural flight today (August 27) from Uganda’s Entebbe Airport to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA), Nairobi, Kenya.

The flight will carry technical officers, government officials, and media to Nairobi, according to the Ministry of Works spokesperson Susan Kataike.

“The Uganda Airlines inaugural flight is on 27th August and the maiden flight is on 28th August,” Jennifer Bamuturaki, director commercial, Uganda Airlines told Daily Monitor.

Uganda Airlines is preparing for its much-anticipated collective take-off on August 28 as the national carrier is revived for the first time in 18 years.

The national carrier will start with flights to Nairobi; Dar-es-Salaam, Tanzania; Juba, South Sudan; and Mogadishu, Somalia.
