The president of women in tourism Ambassador Nancy Sam through her leadership has been working with an NGO named Light A Village.
The major donors are Dr. James Quartey and Ms. Emelia Benin [New York]. Who are all based in the United States of America.
Dr James Quartey a medical doctor, in USA who has had passion from his childhood to support the youth in villages in Ghana through donating solar light to enhance their studies after school to better their education, and to provide lights in their homes.
In 2017 Light A Village, donated to villages in the Western region good quantity of solar lights.
This year Light A Village donated again during the World tourism day.
The person who delivered the goods was Mr. Ben Stephen Kwaw.
The items was transported by canoe to Abelebo village. Western region.

A day purpose is to foster awareness among the international community of the importance of tourism and its social, cultural, political and economic value and even to the local community level. We benefit so much from the community’s and local level, when it comes to tourism. Every tourism attraction is in a community or locality.
