In recognition of his outstanding commitment to tourism and cultural development, Adama Njie has been conferred with the prestigious title of Chief Borokoni of Ishaga Akiniyi Kingdom by the traditional ruler and council of Ishaga Akiniyi Kingdom in Ogun State, Nigeria.

Chief Adama Njie, presently Director of Tourism Promotion of the Gambia Tourism Board (GTBoard) UK – Covering the United Kingdom, Ireland, and Central and Eastern European countries, before joining the GTBoard in 2012 has worked in different institutions which included Gambia International Airlines Limited (GIA), Guaranty Trust Bank (GTB) Gambia Limited, among others.
