Cross River State Governor, Senator (Prince) Bassey Edet Otu, on behalf of the people of the state, extended a warm reception to delegates of the Global United Christian Congress of Africa and Diaspora (GUCCAD) as they arrived in the historic city of Calabar for their much-anticipated World Congress and Homecoming Convention.
According to a statement signed by Beatrice Akpala, Special Adviser On Content Development And Archiving, the delegation which comprises of over a hundred people from 82 Countries includes eminent business men and women, Award winning musical artistes, fashion/costume designers, academics and other professionals in the public and private sectors.
GUCCAD seeks to reconnect people of African descent from the diaspora with the African continent through events, conventions and cultural initiatives. It’s efforts focuses on building relationships, exploring investment opportunities, and fostering a sense of shared heritage and empowerment between Africa and the diaspora.
GUCCAD works with various groups and leaders to support its initiatives and create a unified global village.
