Basir Are, Chairman of the Federation of State Gaming Regulation of Nigeria, has highlighted the significance of the upcoming ‘Africa Gaming Expo’ (AGE) 2024.
According to him, this event serves as a valuable platform to spotlight Nigeria’s potential in the global gaming industry.
According to businessday.ng, He said the conference, will be hosted in Lagos, Nigeria, would also serve as a convergence and confluence for key players in the industry across the world.

Are, who is also the CEO of the Lagos State Lottery and Gaming Authority, spoke at a press conference in Lagos, noting that the gaming industry had not only become a major economic activity but also a strong thrust in the financial technology (FINTECH) evolution globally.
He said that the expo, themed, “Exploring the future of Africa’s gaming market: Emerging trends, prospects and opportunities, would be held in Lagos from March 12 to 15, 2024.
It is promoted by Africa Gaming Expo Limited and endorsed by the Federal Ministry of Tourism, the Lagos State Ministry of Tourism, Arts, and Culture, the Botswana Gambling Authority, Ghana Gaming Commission, National Gambling Board of South Africa, among others.
The event, he added, has been conceived to foster and strengthen collaboration among leading stakeholders in the global gaming community, and would have Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu as the chief host.
