Miss Supraglobal Nigeria, Loretta Effiong Imah, has shared heartfelt reflections on her participation at the Miss Supraglobal global event held in New Delhi, India, describing the experience as both transformative and deeply revealing.
Recounting her time with contestants from around the world, Loretta said the period often referred to as “camping with the queens” turned out to be far more than rehearsals, appearances, and glamour.
“The experience of ‘camping with the queens’ was a transformative, beautiful, and unexpectedly raw journey that stripped away the rhinestones to reveal the true heart of pageantry,” she said.
According to her, the event provided an opportunity to connect with other delegates on a personal level, share cultures, exchange ideas, and build friendships beyond the competitive nature of the pageant stage.
She noted that living closely with other contestants from diverse backgrounds allowed her to see the human side of pageantry, where vulnerability, resilience, discipline, and shared dreams became the defining elements of the experience.
“The manicured routines for early morning wake up, learns, makeup, breakfast and all is so soothing.
“Fun activities and educational activities as well such as tree planting, choreography and the opportunity to showcase and teach others about my culture and Nigerians slangs.
“This pageant experience was a “full circle” moment. It wasn’t just about competing; it is about connecting. It proved that true beauty lies in the ability to shine in any setting whether on a stage with thousands watching, or on a quiet, fostering genuine, lifelong friendships. It was, in every sense, a magical, unforgettable, and grounding, adventure”.
