The Acting Chief Operating Officer and Head of Aeronautical Services at Murtala Muhammed Airport Terminal Two (MMA2), Mr. Remi Jibodu, has reiterated the terminal’s commitment to strengthening collaboration with the media as part of efforts to boost Nigeria’s aviation sector and tourism profile.
Jibodu made the remarks while hosting the Director of Lagos Operations at the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN), Princess Adenike Adegoke, during a courtesy visit to the terminal.
He described the engagement as a strategic meeting between two vital national institutions — aviation and broadcasting — stressing that closer cooperation would help amplify positive developments within the aviation industry and improve Nigeria’s global image.
Jibodu commended FRCN’s extensive nationwide reach and longstanding role in promoting public awareness, national cohesion and development programmes, noting that the broadcaster remains a critical platform for shaping narratives and informing citizens.
According to him, operational efficiency, innovation and passenger satisfaction remain at the heart of MMA2’s mission.
“The terminal was deliberately designed not just as a transit hub but as a destination,” he said.
He explained that facilities such as the integrated car park, seamless terminal access, art gallery, retail outlets and vibrant food court were intentionally developed to create a welcoming environment where travellers feel relaxed and engaged, rather than inconvenienced by travel processes.
Industry observers say enhanced collaboration between aviation stakeholders and major media institutions could play a key role in promoting domestic tourism, attracting investment and strengthening public confidence in Nigeria’s air transport sector.
