The Nigeria Association of Tour Operators (NATOP) has received a major boost ahead of its 9th Annual General Meeting (AGM) as its executive team, led by Mrs. Bolaji Mustafa, paid a courtesy visit to the Governor of Ondo State, His Excellency Mr. Lucky Aiyedatiwa.

The visit, which took place at the Government House in Akure, was aimed at officially presenting the upcoming AGM event to the governor and seeking his support and endorsement. Scheduled to hold from 2nd to 6th July 2025 in Ondo State, the AGM is expected to attract tourism stakeholders from across Nigeria and beyond.

Governor Aiyedatiwa warmly welcomed the NATOP delegation and commended their efforts in promoting domestic tourism. He expressed his full support for the association’s initiative, affirming the state government’s commitment to making tourism a viable sector for economic growth in Ondo State.

Mrs. Bolaji Mustafa, speaking on behalf of NATOP, expressed gratitude for the governor’s warm reception and unwavering support. She noted that the choice of Ondo as the host state underscores the association’s desire to spotlight lesser-explored destinations with strong tourism potential.

“We are ready to work with key stakeholders to position Ondo as a leading tourism destination in Nigeria,” she said. The 9th NATOP AGM will feature business sessions, destination tours, and networking opportunities aimed at strengthening the tourism value chain across West Africa. With the governor’s endorsement, all roads now lead to Ondo State this July as it prepares to host one of the most anticipated gatherings of tourism professionals in Nigeria.
