Nigerian carrier, Air Peace has gotten the green light to evacuate stranded Indian nationals in the country to Kerala, India.
According to a statement by the management of Air Peace, the airline was contacted by the Indian High Commission to under the task of evacuating its citizens in Nigeria to its home country.
Air Peace said a list of passenger to be attended to have already been given to the airline adding that it has commenced contacting the intended passengers.
The airlines stated that the flight will be departing Lagos on May 30, 2020 to Cochin Airport, Kerala.
It said payments are expected immediately, with economy class at $1300, business class at $1700 adding passengers are also allowed to pay in naira at N460
Air Peace recently was instrumental in airlifting a total of 274 Israelis to Tel Aviv from the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA), Lagos and the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja (NAIA) .
According to atqnews.com, the flight, which airlifted 65 passengers from Lagos and proceeded to Abuja to airlift another 209 was operated by Air Peace Boeing 777-300 with registration number 5N-BWI.
The Chairman and CEO of Air Peace, Allen Onyema described the flight as historical because it is the first time Nigeria and Israel would have a direct flight and expressed hope that subsequently the two countries would have scheduled direct flight between Lagos and Tel-Aviv.
