Enugu Air has confirmed that one of its aircraft operating into Benin experienced a runway excursion after landing on Thursday.
The airline, in a public notice issued to passengers, said all passengers and crew members safely disembarked from the aircraft, with no injuries or casualties recorded.
According to the airline, the aircraft has been secured, while the relevant aviation authorities have been notified in line with established procedures. It added that an assessment of the aircraft and the circumstances surrounding the incident was ongoing.
“Enugu Air wishes to inform the public that one of our aircraft operating into Benin experienced a runway excursion after landing today,” the airline stated.
The incident may lead to temporary adjustments to some flight schedules, the airline said, adding that passengers affected by any changes would be contacted directly and provided with the necessary assistance.
Enugu Air reaffirmed that the safety of its passengers, crew and operations remains its highest priority, assuring the public that further updates would be provided through its official communication channels.
