Nigeria’s premier luxury airline, Xejet, has marked a new milestone with the delivery of an additional Bombardier CRJ-200 bearing the registration 5N-XEJ.
According to a release by the airline, the aircraft touched down at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja, where it was welcomed with a ceremonial water cannon salute performed by the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria’s firefighting officials on October 11, 2023.
Emmanuel Iza, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Xejet, confirmed the exciting development, emphasizing that the arrival of the new aircraft aligns with the airline’s strategic plan for operational expansion.
“The arrival of this equipment will significantly enhance our operations and is a key element of our strategy to provide more seating capacity to our valued patrons, both existing and potential,” said Iza. “We are thrilled to take this step to add further value to our services.”
Iza reiterated Xejet’s commitment to offering cost-effective and customer-oriented smart business air travel options within a single-class of travel. He emphasized the airline’s dedication to creating a rewarding work environment for employees, becoming an employer of choice, and maintaining excellent professional relationships with suppliers and business partners. Safety remains a top priority, with a commitment to upholding high standards through the application of the latest training, industry best practices, and available technology.
With this latest addition, Xejet’s fleet now boasts three Bombardier CRJ200 aircraft, registered as 5N-XEL, 5N-XEJ, and 5N-XEK. Notably, 5N-XEL and 5N-XEJ are configured with 24 VIP seats, while 5N-XEK is configured with 17 VIP seats. Additionally, the airline operates two Embraer 145 aircraft.
Speaking on the aircraft configuration, Iza remarked, “Our goal has always been to offer our customers the experience of a private jet with personalized service, all within the comfort and safety of a commercial airline.”
As Xejet continues to elevate its fleet and enhance passenger experiences, the airline stands poised to set new standards in luxury air travel in Nigeria and beyond.
