The Director-General/Chief Executive Officer of NIHOTOUR, Aare (Dr.) Abisoye Fagade, FNHT, FRPA, FIMC, on Thursday held an engaging General Staff “Village Meeting” with personnel across the Institute, reinforcing his people-centred leadership, staff bonding and shared commitment to institutional growth.
Addressing staff under the theme “Our Best Days Are Still Ahead,” Aare Fagade acknowledged current challenges while reassuring employees of their importance to NIHOTOUR’s progress. “You matter to NIHOTOUR. This institution cannot become great without its people,” he said.
The DG encouraged staff to remain committed, innovatie and supportive of one another, stressing the need to keep learning, solving problems, building relationships and improving service delivery despite resource constraints.
He also shared updates on efforts to strengthen NIHOTOUR through government engagement, partnerships, funding opportunities and greater institutional support, while reminding staff that their work contributes directly to building Nigeria’s hospitality, tourism and travel industry.
The meeting ended on an inspiring note as the DG urged staff to remain professional, united and optimistic: “Our best days are not behind us. Our best days are still ahead.”
